RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
Our Return Rate Is Under 1% — Here's Why
At Intelligent Key Solutions, returns are rare — not because we make them difficult, but because we get it right the first time.
Unlike many suppliers who list a single part number across multiple trim levels and hope for the best, our compatibility data is built by working locksmiths who understand the difference between keys that share a shell but carry different EROM files, different ULP versions, and different vehicle option requirements.
A simple example: the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Most suppliers list one key for the entire year. We list two — because 95440-K5002 is correct for all trims without the sunroof package, and 95440-K5012 is correct for sunroof-equipped vehicles. Same shell. Same buttons. Different firmware. Wrong key means a vehicle that won't accept programming — and that's not a defective key, that's an incorrect part selection.
At the end of the day though, using the wrong part number and attempting to program it, will still lock a key just the same as programming it sucessfully will.
We hold ourselves to that standard across our entire catalog.
Return Eligibility
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery under the following conditions:
Eligible for return:
Item received in a condition different from what was described
Item does not match the listed part number
Item is defective prior to any programming attempt
Wrong item shipped due to our error
Not eligible for return:
Keys that have been programmed to a vehicle or had a programming attempt made, regardless of outcome
Keys ordered for an incorrect vehicle due to customer error — please verify your year, make, model, trim level, and factory options before ordering
Items returned without prior authorization
We stand behind our compatibility listings. If our listing directed you to the wrong part for your vehicle, contact us and we will make it right. If the wrong part was selected despite our listing providing the correct information, we cannot accept a return.

Include your order number, the item you are returning, and the reason. We will respond within one business day with return instructions.
Return shipping: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error, in which case we will provide a prepaid label.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will process your refund within 3-5 business days to your original payment method. You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is issued.
A Note On Programming Attempts
We understand the frustration when a key does not program to a vehicle. However, a failed programming attempt does not indicate a defective key — it most commonly indicates a vehicle system issue, incorrect part selection, programmer compatibility, or procedure error. Keys that have had any programming attempt made are not eligible for return under any circumstances, as the attempt itself can alter the key's state.
