Return Policy
1. Return Eligibility
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for:
- Unused, unprogrammed, and uninstalled items
- Items in original packaging
- Items in resalable condition
Items showing signs of use, programming, installation, or modification are not eligible for return.
2. Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items
The following are final sale and not eligible for return or refund:
- Programmed or attempted-to-program keys/remotes
- Electronic programming tools
- Software, licenses, or digital products
- Special order items
- Clearance or closeout items
- Items damaged due to improper installation or misuse
Once an electronic product has been powered on, connected, programmed, or attempted to be programmed, it is considered used.
3. Defective or DOA (Dead on Arrival) Items
If you receive a defective or DOA item:
- You must notify us within 7 days of delivery
- Proof may be required (photos, video, or diagnostic screenshots)
- Defective items may be replaced or refunded at our discretion
Normal wear, improper programming, incorrect vehicle compatibility, or user error does not constitute defect.
4. Return Authorization Required (RMA)
All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) prior to shipping.
Returns sent without authorization will be refused.

5. Shipping Costs
- Customer is responsible for return shipping
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable
- If an error was made by IKS, we will cover return shipping
We recommend using a trackable shipping method.
6. Restocking Fee
Approved returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Restocking fees are waived only if the return is due to an IKS error.
7. Inspection & Processing
All returned items are inspected upon receipt.
If an item fails inspection:
- The return will be denied
- Item may be returned to customer at customer’s expense
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days after inspection.
8. Vehicle Compatibility Responsibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to verify:
- Year
- Make
- Model
- FCC ID / Part Number
- System type
Ordering the wrong item does not qualify as defective.
We strongly recommend verifying compatibility before ordering.
9. Fraud Prevention
IKS reserves the right to refuse returns, refunds, or exchanges in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, or excessive return activity.
